Maybe after doing dozens of crunches to no avail you have given up on your abs. I don&#8217;t blame you and before I knew anything about exercise I gave it a try. It did not work.</p>
<p>Forget the infomercials that tell you that you can have great abs if only you purchase their product &#8211; crunches simply won&#8217;t give you a six pack. Among the most typical myths about abs is the postulate of spot reduction. The idea that is someone works on the abs or any explicit area, fat will be reduced in that area is known as spot reduction. This is simply wrong. Simply put, fat from a certain area will not be burned by coaching that area.</p>
<p>The answer? Decrease your total fat. An individual losing fat loses it from head to toe. Imagine you&#8217;re in a fat suit. This fat suit covers your face, your legs, your arms, and so on. Shrinking the fat suit&#8217;s thickness is the goal. You start to see great abs once your fat suit shrinks.</p>
<p>How thick is your fat suit? If it is thicker than you wish, than you must begin to take steps to lose subcutaneous fat. What are the steps to having fantastic abs? How long do you have for exercise? If your answer was anything less than four times every week, then that is&#8217;s the first thing getting between you and streamline abs. What is a fat burning workout? This is essentially effective weight lifting and intense cardio coaching all in one routine.</p>
<p>Also, you don&#8217;t blast fat by just walking on the treadmill for thirty mins. Neither is a leisurely 20 minutes on the elliptical machine. The reality is that you can significantly boost your results while investing less time when you exercise right.</p>
<p>Maintaining an effective intensity level is the basis of cardiovascular exercise. This does not imply that you should be out of breath or gasping for breath. It does mean that you need to push yourself.</p>
<p>The 2nd key to a fat burning workout is training with weights. The benchmark for your metabolic or metabolism rate is your muscle. The more muscle you have the faster your metabolism and the only way to build muscle is resistance training or weight training.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s your diet like? Diet is a giant stumbling block for most people-especially as it is linked to their midsection. in reality, your abs will be out of control if your diet is, too. You can&#8217;t trim your waist without trimming the junk out of your diet, regardless of how hard you exercise. <p>I was at a big event last week and was reminded how<br />important it is to have strategies for this season of high-calorie parties and busy schedules. But I get ticked off by the tired old suggestions you find on the Internet or in magazines like Woman&#8217;s World.</p>
<p>Often the suggestions are lack any substance, because the writers don&#8217;t want to imply you actually have to make a sacrifice to succeed. They make fat loss sound easy, as if all you had to do was park at the far end of the parking lot and you&#8217;d burn all the calories from 5 shortbread cookies.</p>
<p>Well it doesn&#8217;t work that way&#8230;So here are my politically incorrect, unique Turbulence Training strategies to help you keep off the holiday pounds.</p>
<p>By the way, I &#8220;borrowed&#8221; a few ideas from contestants in my Turbulence Training Transformation Contest. The Transformation is rocking with social support and success stories right now, even while the rest of the world struggles with weight gain, these TT users are losing fat over the holidays.</p>
<p>Strategy #1 &#8211; Green Tea &amp; Almonds</p>
<p>One of the most common tips you&#8217;ll hear is to &#8220;fill up&#8221; before you go to a party where there will be lots of goodies.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, most people I talk to have no luck with this tip.<br />Most people still go to a party and eat everything in sight.</p>
<p>But recently TT users have told me that having a cup of Green Tea and one ounce of almonds has helped them avoid holiday cravings better than anything ever before.</p>
<p>The fiber from the almonds reduces appetite while the small amount of caffeine from the Green Tea seems to increase mental alertness and keep you &#8220;energized&#8221; at the party.</p>
<p>Hopefully that might work for you&#8230;</p>
<p>Strategy #2 &#8211; Don&#8217;t waste your time on any fancy cardio programs</p>
<p>Listen, the bottom line over the holiday season is that your success depends almost entirely on your nutrition.</p>
<p>You can&#8217;t expect to hit the cardio confessional and burn off last night&#8217;s 2000 calorie smorgasboard. That&#8217;s a 4-hour workout. Instead, don&#8217;t get into that situation in the first place.</p>
<p>Here are more nutrition tips:</p>
<p>- Focus on portion control (and if you have no discipline, forget even trying to eat just one)<br />- Nix all drinks mixed with calorie-containing beverages, or better yet, just stop getting drunk. Period.<br />- Write down everything you eat to identify your problem spots. Then do whatever you need to do to eliminate your weaknesses. If you don&#8217;t record your nutrition, chances are you&#8217;ll miss big<br />opportunities to change your diet and lose fat.</p>

<p>Strategy #3 &#8211; Take care of yourself first.</p>

<p>So take a deep breath. Ask yourself as you&#8217;re running around to please everyone else, &#8220;Have you set aside time for yourself&#8221;</p>
<p>Be selfish. Make sure you have had some exercise time, some good nutrition, and some rest before overextending yourself and doing too much for other people when you haven&#8217;t taken care of yourself and your goals first.</p>
<p>Strategy #4 &#8211; Get on a roll</p>
<p>This one comes from a TT Transformation contestant who is too busy losing fat to get off track over the holidays.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t procrastinate till January 1st. Get started now. Dozens of men and women are doing their Turbulence Training Transformations right now &#8211; through the heart of the holiday season.</p>

<p>Find yourself always looking for new, drastic ways to lose weight? Nothing seems to work for you? Why don&#8217;t you try something different and try focussing on the little things. Try and change little aspects of your life and don&#8217;t try and change everything about it. This can make a huge difference to your weight, your confidence levels and how you look, especially if you choose the right things to change or try. Stick to them, make them a goal, and be upset with yourself if you don&#8217;t do them. This article covers a few things you could try.</p>
<p>Firstly, set yourself a goal. Be realistic, and choose something that can be achieved over a longer period of time, and not over a couple of weeks. It&#8217;s so important to keep your goals realistic so that you&#8217;re not disappointed when you don&#8217;t achieve some amazingly ridiculous goal. After you&#8217;ve achieved one goal, then set yourself another one. This will work a lot better than setting a huge goal in the first place. Yes, I&#8217;m mentioning the word &#8220;goal&#8221; a lot, and thats because you should be thinking of it like that yourself, make it meaningful to yourself.</p>
<p>Walk more and whenever you can. If you&#8217;re in the car park at a shopping centre for example, don&#8217;t park right next to the entrance, or drive around until you can find a park that is close to the entrance. Park a fair distance away, every little bit of walking and exercise helps. Walk with some intensity as well! Take the dog for a walk, even work up a sweat by going for a slow run, or even a faster run once your fitness levels improve!</p>
<p>Set yourself to work out or exercise at least 3 times a week, even if it is only for 20 minutes to half an hour. In some cases, escpecially coupled with a good diet, that&#8217;s all the exercise you&#8217;ll need to do to lose weight.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve got kids, or you know someone that does, spend some time with them! Chase them around, make everything you do with them challenging and force yourself to exercise, it&#8217;s easier than you think!. You&#8217;ll actually suprise yourself at how heavy you&#8217;ll be breathing after playing with kids. Not only is it extremely beneficial to your health to be exercising with kids, but it&#8217;s also extremely beneficial to theirs and sets a great example.</p>

There is a mounting body of anecdotal evidence coming on the heels of the Grapefruit and Lemon juice phenomena in dieting and weight loss circles.  There is also growing evidence that fruit juices of many kind have a spoiling effect in the absorption of chemicals and fats. </p>
<p>Wine too is hitting health circles as being good in moderation.  Acids are the common link between fruits and Vinegar. Vinegar is only after all spoiled wine or fermented fruit.  It is however Vinegar which has been given the top spot for its complete domination of the super good for you dietary supplement.  It seems that anecdotal evidence puts Vinegar in the forefront for its fat fighting efficiency.  But not just any vinegar.  It is unpasteurized unfiltered apple cider Vinegar that is at the top of the tree.  My own experience with this wonder liquid is one that I would share with you.  </p>
<p>Two years ago my weight was 15 and a half stones. I am six foot tall and at the time had a spare tyre around my middle and I could certainly grab a handful of fat. I did not consider myself particularly overweight.  My mother happened to see the Doctor for feeling tired all the time and after blood tests was told that she had a Thyroid problem.  The Doctor also said that the blood tests revealed that she had extremely high Cholesterol levels and that this was often an hereditary condition which could be passed to other family members.  I agreed to have my Cholesterol level taken and I was dangerously high. </p>
<p>Seven point five as opposed to the recommended safe level of 4.5 here in the UK.  I was gobsmacked as I was now x percent more likely to die from heart attack so many percent more likely to suffer from strokes coronary etc.  I had to seriously look at my diet said the Doctor.  Well my diet was not good.  I liked fried food on a regular basis and ate all the fatty starchy foods that we all crave.  The problem was I did not feel able to compromise.  I did not want to take medication either due to associated short term memory loss.  I happened to come across an article that stated that cholesterol levels could be affected by Vinegar and started to research the topic.  I found that Apple Cider Vinegar was being touted as some sort of a cure all and in a skeptical frame of mind tried it.</p>
<p>I took a table spoon of Apple Cider Vinegar between meals in a glass of water three times a day.  I did not change any other aspect of my diet at this time.  I hoped rather than expected a difference when I next went for a blood test.  Sure enough the fateful day arrived and I was tested and weighed.  What the Doctor said nearly blew my mind.  I had lost one and a half stones in weight and my fasting blood sugar was down to 4.5 the national safe limit!  The Doctor asked how my diet was going and I said &#8220;What Diet&#8221;!.</p>
<p>Since this time my curiosity about Vinegar has led me to research it further and I would like to list all its associated health benefits.  Unfortunately you have not got the time to read it all and I don&#8217;t have the time to write them all down but to name just a few claims made for this extraordinary liquid a short list of health benefits which is by no means exhaustive.  Obesity, Cholesterol Hemorrhoids, Piles, Sore Throat, Hangovers, Gallstones, stress, heart disease,external injury,nail fungus and the list goes on and on.  Some of the preparations are for external poultices and some for internal.  I hope that you found this article useful.
