Flavia DelMonte’s Full-Body-Licious Program

If the “DelMonte” name sounds familiar in the fitness industry, you might be thinking of Vince, who is a muscle-building guru. Flavia is Vince’s wife, and a fitness guru in her own right. Flavia is a registered nurse and a certified personal trainer. She was just like you and me: somewhat squishy, but not obviously obese. She was able to hide it by how she dressed.

She realized she needed to make some changes to her diet, and add some exercise in order to get tighter and more toned. With the access she had to her husband and other fitness gurus, as well as to expert nutritionists, personal trainers and other experts, she developed the F.O.R.C.E. formula, specifically for women who want to lose fat and get toned, without building bulky muscles.

F.O.R.C.E. stands for some stuff that the program is built around, but it’s kind of lengthy. To be honest with you, this is the one place where I think Flavia could have done better: the marketing aspects of this program seem scattered. You see “F.O.R.C.E.” sometimes or Full-Body-Licious or Flavilicious, and they are all the same. It can be a little confusing.

What is NOT confusing is what Flavia discovered about getting strong (yes, ladies, it’s ok to get strong), strip fat off your body (whether it’s 10 or 100 pounds), and finally getting the body you THOUGHT you were going to get from hours of long, slow cardio.

I’ve said it so much that I’m almost sick of even hearing it any more, but long cardio DOES NOT WORK for burning fat. There is simply too much evidence to the contrary. What it takes is building some muscle and actually changing the composition of your body. I’ve done it and you can do it too.

Overall, I really like Flavia’s plan, whatever you want to call it. It is very sensible, not faddish. It’s based on solid scientific principles, not someone’s most recent flaky idea. There are no stupid fitness gizmos required, just some good old weights and the resistance from your own bodyweight. The eating plan is not complicated or freaky.

Look, you know what it takes to EARN the body you want… it’s going to be hard work, it’s going to take some sacrifices on the eating and the workout out. Yes, both those elements are requirements. What Flavia is doing for you here is putting it all together into a plan that WORKS. You don’t need to do the research yourself or scour the internet, sifting through various “expert” points of view. It’s all right here and at a very, very reasonable price.

What you get is 5 “DVDs” – you can opt for actual DVDs to be sent to you, but I prefer the downloads. It’s cheaper and easier and you get them immediately. Flavia is also giving you several bonus items like a success tracker (you only improve what you measure, right?), a detailed eating guide and more.
